Welcome to the Web Home of Hard Drivin' Grass.
The Hard Drivin' Grass bluegrass band was formed in March 2006.
They are from Amherst County in the Central Virginia
area. The young band consists of Mason Thomas on guitar and
lead vocals, Zack Mays on dobro and vocals, Samantha Mays on stand up bass and vocals,
Dobie Toms on Banjo, and Will Gray on Fiddle . They
are inspiring young musicians with a sound of seasoned veterans.
They recorded their 1st CD, "Pickin' Proud", with 2 original songs in November 2006.
In June 2007 they took 5th place at the Maury River Fiddlers'
Convention. In September 2007 they took the 1st place in the V.F.M.A. State bluegrass band championship in Chesterfield.
Their second CD,
"The Last Train Ride",
was released in January 2008, which includes another 3 original songs. This young Band
has come a long way in just a very short time. From their own
music to traditional bluegrass they are sure to entertain with
powerful picking and strong vocals.

listen to. "Bluegrass FM" WWEM 91.7 is playing selected
